On-device Settings

You can adjust various system parameters directly on the Penodoro device through the [SETUP] menu.
The setup interface provides 10 configurable options, allowing you to customize how the device operates and behaves.

List of Configurable Options
  1. FOCUS DURATION
    • Set the length of each Pomodoro focus session.
  2. BREAK TIME
    • Set the duration of the short break between focus sessions.
  3. FOCUS SESSIONS
    • Choose how many Pomodoro cycles you want to complete in total.
  4. DISPLAY BRIGHTNESS
    • Adjust the brightness level of the OLED display.
  5. SOUND ALERT
    • Enable or disable sound notifications for startup, alarms, and system prompts.
  6. VIBRATION ALERT
    • Enable or disable vibration feedback for startup, alarms, and system prompts.
  7. ALARM ENABLE
    • Turn the alarm function on or off.
  8. ALERT REPETITIONS
    • Set how many times the alarm will repeat when triggered.
  9. DIM SCREEN TIMEOUT
    • Set the time the screen remains bright before dimming when idle.
  10. SCREEN OFF TIMEOUT
    • Set the idle duration before the screen turns off completely.
  11. SYSTEM INFORMATION
    • View detailed information about the device’s hardware and firmware.
  12. Magic Threshold
    • Adjust the sensitivity of the Magic Ring sensor.
  13. Auto Scroll Speed
    • Set the automatic scrolling speed during text reading.

Web Settings

In addition to on-device configuration, Penodoro also supports web-based settings.
By connecting the device to Wi-Fi and accessing its local web interface, you can conveniently manage and adjust more advanced options through your browser.

Date & Time Settings:
  • Time Setting Mode: This option allows you to choose how the device’s clock is set. There are two modes available: [Auto] and [Manual].
    • [Auto] Mode
      When set to Auto, Penodoro automatically updates the date and time each time it connects to the internet. No manual adjustment is required.
    • [Manual] Mode
      If the automatically adjusted time is incorrect, you can switch to Manual mode, enter the correct date and time, and save the changes.
  • Date(Y/M/D)
    • When in Manual mode, enter the correct date in the format Year / Month / Day.
  • Time(H:M:S)
    • When in Manual mode, enter the correct time in the format Hour : Minute : Second.
Alarm Settings:
  • Alarm Enable
    • Turns the alarm function on or off. Available options: [Enable] / [Disable].
  • Alarm Mode: Determines how often the alarm will trigger. Available options:
    • [ONCE PER DAY] – The alarm rings once each day at the specified time.
    • [ONCE PER HOUR] – The alarm rings once every hour at the specified minute.
      • This option is available only when Alarm Enable is set to [Enable].
  • Alarm Time (H:M): Specifies the alarm time.
    • When [ONCE PER DAY] is selected, both hour and minute values can be set.
    • When [ONCE PER HOUR] is selected, only the minute value can be adjusted.
  • Alert Repetitions: Sets how many times the alarm alert will repeat when the alarm goes off.
Pomodoro timer Settings:
  • Focus Duration
    • Set the length of each Pomodoro focus session.
    • You can choose how many minutes you want to stay focused before taking a break.
  • Break Time
    • Set the duration of your rest period between focus sessions.
    • Use this time to relax and recharge before the next focus round begins.
  • Focus Sessions
    • Set the total number of Pomodoro cycles to complete in one full session.
    • Each cycle includes one focus period followed by one break period.
System Settings:
  • Screen Brightness
    • Adjust the brightness level of the OLED display for comfortable viewing in different lighting environments.
  • Sound Alert
    • Enable or disable sound notifications for system startup, alarms, and other prompts.
  • Vibration Alert
    • Enable or disable vibration notifications for system startup, alarms, and other prompts.
  • Hand Preference
    • Select your preferred hand orientation (Left-handed or Right-handed) to optimize display layout and button interaction.
Power Settings:
  • Dim Screen Timeout
    • Set the time the screen remains bright before dimming when idle.
  • Screen Off Timeout
    • Set the idle duration before the screen turns off completely.
Magic Settings:
  • Magic Enable
    • If you have the Magic Ring, enable this option to activate the auto-hide feature while using the text reading function.
    • If you don’t have the Magic Ring, simply keep this option disabled — you can still use the text reading feature normally, but without automatic hiding.
  • Magic Threshold
    • Adjust the sensitivity of the Magic Ring sensor.
    • Increase or decrease this value based on your actual usage and preferred response distance.
  • Auto Scroll Speed
    • Set the automatic scrolling speed during text reading.
    • The value represents how many seconds each line stays on the screen before scrolling to the next.
    • If this value is set to zero, the auto-scrolling feature will be disabled.
Save Settings:
  • Reset to Defaults
    • Restore all system parameters to their factory default values automatically.
  • Save Settings
    • Save all the configuration changes above.
    • The system will automatically restart to apply the new settings.
